N.J. farmer growing flowers a little greener thanks to grant to convert to geothermal heat

NJ.com profiles East Windsor-based Moonshot Farm, a flower farm specializing in tulips and specialty varieties. A USDA grant and tax credits from the Inflation Reduction Act helped the owners install a geothermal system that heats two of the farm’s three greenhouses. The greenhouses cost $1,000 a month to heat with propane but only $100 a month with geothermal.
