In 2018, A1 Energy worked with Spooky Nook Sports, the largest sports complex in North America, to do an LED retrofit that improved energy efficiency and lowered costs for the facility. After using a combination of rebates and creative financing, the facility did not have to pay anything upfront, and the project costs were cut from around $600 thousand to $400 thousand, with only a three-year payback. Spooky Nook Sports reported an annual maintenance savings of $40 thousand and an annual HVAC savings of $16 thousand.
