Training workers for jobs in a growing industry, serving local communities in need and improving lives through access to energy efficiency, ECA is a regional leader in energy efficiency in Southeast Pennsylvania. ECA has trained over 5,000 workers for careers in the growing clean energy and energy efficiency industries. ECA's award-winning Knight Green Jobs Training Center certifies workers for careers in building analysis, solar installation and environmental remediation.
ECA takes an innovative approach to preventing homelessness, by preserving and stabilizing affordable housing with renovations. As a result, homeowners cut energy costs, increase durability, and improve housing value. ECA's Neighborhood Energy Centers serve as a on-stop shop for low-income energy services such as weatherization, heater repair and replacement, home repair, bill payment assistance, budget counseling and education. This model combines direct services to the most needy with the ability to test and evaluate programs.
